Treasured Find is a Night Owl Reviews TOP PICK! #kindleunlimited #paranormal #shifters

I hope everyone's November is going well. Mine's been hectic, but wonderful. I've been busy revising Beautiful Mistake, book 2 in my Royal Pride series, but I wanted to take a moment to share some good news. Treasured Find, book 1, has been reviewed by Night Owl Reviews and has been labeled as a TOP PICK!
Here's a little snippet of what they say:

"This fascinating paranormal romance is a delicious introduction to a world that has very special feline shapeshifters who are part of the elite section of their society. I love the novelty of these multispecies shifters, and the complex organization they have."

Stop over and read the rest! Night Owl Top Pick Review

Treasured Find
Royal Pride, book 1
Sometimes the greatest finds are unexpected
After five centuries, Rafe Alexander knows what to expect from life—boredom broken by the occasional call from Shifter Affairs. No matter how mundane the job, he always accepts their plea for help. He knows what it’s like to lose loved ones to the shifter trafficking rings decimating their species.
But the task that takes him to West Virginia changes everything. A human is dead. A shifter child is missing. And the human female connected to both tragedies is hiding a secret.
He needs to discover the mystery surrounding her. But the felines he houses—lion, tiger and jaguar—want him to get close to her for another reason. Jasmine is special, both for how she affects him and for the treasure she’s been guarding.
And as danger mounts, he’s left balancing his desire for revenge and his need to protect. But the line between them isn’t always black and white, especially where his family is concerned.
NOTE: This book was previously released. It has been revised and re-edited.

Excerpt #1
“Don’t get any crazy ideas. I am not going out with any of your husband’s friends. No more blind dates, thank you very much.”
“You don’t need any help from me. Once you drop the ‘stay away from me’ glare you usually wear around members of the opposite sex, you’ll have no problem picking up a guy.” Cindy tapped a single finger against her chin. “We might even have to beat them off you, especially if you display your goods a little more.”
She tugged at Jazz’s shirt until the lacy edge barely covered her nipples.
Jazz gasped and slapped away her friend’s hands. She quickly righted her top and glared at Cindy. Jazz hated her goods. Her breasts were too big for her frame, but genetics was a crapshoot. You got whatever the DNA mixing bowl dished out.
“Stop it. I am not enticing any lewd perverts with a showing of my goods.”
Cindy raised her hands. “Just promise me you’ll keep an open mind.”
Jazz bit back her sharp retort. Cindy meant well. It wasn’t her fault Jazz had to keep men at arm’s length. It wasn’t Jazz’s either, but those were the facts. Time for another lie. What was one more?
“Fine. The next hot guy who shows any interest in me…” I’ll ignore just like I did with the blond hunk Josh was talking to. She inwardly rolled her eyes at the ridiculousness of her lame fib. “…will be the one I take home.”
“Now that’s an offer I can’t resist.”
Jazz pivoted. A wide expanse of muscle filled her vision. She followed the ridges of his stomach lower. His narrow waist met lean, denim-covered hips. Openmouthed, she stared at the growing bulge in his pants. An answering spark of arousal lighted within her. Shivers of awareness, the same ones that had skipped down her spine a few minutes ago, traveled from the hardening tips of her breasts to her clit. The bundle of nerves took on a heartbeat of its own.
She glanced into his face. Exotic, uptilted honey-brown eyes were framed by long blond lashes. Specks of color floated in those oddly bright eyes—gold, blue, green. Beautiful and downright captivating.
His full lips, parted slightly, glistened as if he’d licked them. She swiped her tongue across her suddenly dry ones.
“Am I hot enough for you?” He rubbed his thumb over the corner of her mouth. “Because I’m interested. Very, very interested.”

The Royal Pride is back!! #feline #shifters #paranormal

***They're back!!!***

Yes, okay. I might just be a little bit excited, but I'm so happy that my feline shifter series, Royal Pride, is now mine again!
Revised and expanded versions of Unexpected FindBeautiful Mistake and Favorite Obsession will be available soon! I’m very excited to be able to talk about these hot, sexy feline shifters again. A few of the alphas in this series ((coughVader and Xander)) have been demanding their stories be told. J One *big* change is that the Royal Pride and the Kagan Wolves world will become parallel series with overlapping characters. Don’t worry, they’ll still be able to be read separately, though.

Well, that’s it for now. I’ll share more soon!

Keep loving. Keep living. Talk soon.
((Hugs)) Nancy

Guaranteed to change the way you look at shifters...Bridged by Love is out today! #newrelease #shifters

Happy dance! It's release day for Bridged by Love!!!

I'm so excited to bring you Nic and Riley's story. It's a darker look at shifters that's full of romance, danger, tears and a passion strong enough to tame even the alpha wolf. Oh...and I have a contest too!

Follow his head, he breaks her heart. Follow his hearthe breaks his pack.

Kagan Wolves, Book 1

From the moment he was born, Nic Kagan’s future was sealed. He’ll accept a mate, have kids, and eventually take over his father’s role as pack alpha. There’s just one problem.

Long ago, his heart settled on Riley, the pack’s human doctor and honorary member. Except only half of him can have her. The other half—his wolf—won’t give a weak non-shifter female a second sniff.

No one—human or shifter—has left a mark on Riley’s soul like Nic. But with his father hospitalized, any hope things could work out between them is slipping away. Yet Riley understands something else about pack life. Power isn’t always a physical gift; love is just as strong. What she and Nic have is worth fighting for.

With rival threats mounting, Nic realizes he can’t simply turn his back on Riley. Though his wolf could tear his heart out for it, he must fight for what he wants before he loses his mate. His pack. Maybe even his sanity.

Warning: Contains a reluctant alpha with only one roadblock between his heart and the woman he loves—biology. And a woman who isn’t giving up on him, even if it means risking her life to fool Mother Nature.

Excerpt (PG)
Nic strode across the packed bar, hands clenching and releasing at his sides. Shifters and humans alike moved out of his way. He couldn’t blame them. No doubt he looked as pissed off as he felt. Returning to West Virginia hadn’t been on his agenda, at least not until a certain female died of old age or moved. Yeah, moving worked. Too bad it hadn’t happened. She remained in Hollow’s Grove like a damn forbidden fruit and a reminder of a life he could never have.
The two male wolf shifters at his old table grabbed their beers and scattered, leaving his sister to deal with his wrath.
He yanked a chair out and straddled it. “Who did it?”
Hannah lifted a slender brow. Four years separated them, but she could’ve been his twin. They both had their mother’s black hair and blue eyes. They both shifted into black wolves too, a rarity among their kind. Neither of them cared about the awe many felt in their presence. Him and Hannah? They cared about the strength the revered wolf gave them. Power was everything in their world.
“Did what? Put Dad in the hospital, or almost hit your ex-girlfriend’s car?”
He gritted his teeth. “Riley is not my ex-girlfriend.”
“What do you call your first lover and the female you warned every available male in a fifty-mile radius away from, then?”
Had Riley been a shifter, he’d call her his mate. As it was, she was a temptation, one he had to stay away from.
Excerpt (PG-13)
Nic ran through the woods. The broken twigs and rocks poking into his paws barely registered. He pivoted and headed deeper into the underbrush. The sharp pulling of the low-hanging tree limbs on his fur appealed to his need to punish himself. He wanted to hurt. A fight would’ve been better, but he couldn’t go around initiating any. Actions like that would come off as a dominance tactic, and the Kagan males had always held to a higher standard. They understood all members of a pack played a vital role.
He lowered his head and pushed through the bowing evergreens. An open space greeted him. He froze. Sides heaving and blood soaking his fur, he panted and took in the small home in front of him—Riley’s place. His dad had bought it for her. Last time Nic had seen it was right after she’d moved in. She must’ve remodeled since then. Where the concrete stoop once stood, a wide front porch spanned the house. It looked inviting with the swing and chairs decorating it. He could see himself lounging on it, enjoying the night.
A low growl rumbled in his chest.
It didn’t surprise him that he’d ended up here. He hadn’t been able to get thoughts of her out of his head. Guilt ate at him. He’d treated her like shit the last time they were together. She deserved an apology and explanation. If he’d been man enough, he would’ve been straight with her then.
He padded across the gravel road. On the other side, soft grass met the pads of his paws. Halfway across the front yard, the door opened. Riley stepped out, a bottle of beer in hand. An oversize flannel shirt covered her chest and bare thighs. Jealousy surged, knowing she wore another male’s clothes. Shock replaced it with his next breath. It was his shirt, the one he’d had on the last time they were together.
She whipped her head in his direction. Narrowed eyes zeroed in on him. They widened on a gasp. She set her bottle down and sprinted across the yard. Her loosely buttoned top gave him a tantalizing glimpse of her legs. He sat on his haunches to watch her, but she reached him before he could decide if the swath of black between her thighs was a thong or a bikini.
Nic”—she dropped to her knees in front of him—“what happened?”
He couldn’t answer her in his wolf form. She knew that. She also understood that depending on how much control he gave his other half, he might not even hear her. It never stopped her from approaching shifters. She’d said she could tell who was in charge by looking into their eyes.
“You’re bleeding.” She brushed back his fur and gently touched the skin around a long gash. “This wasn’t from a fight, was it?”
He shook his head, the only answer he could give in his limited form.
She stared into his eyes. Not a hint of fear showed in her expression. She treated his dad and the other dominants with the respect owed them by avoiding eye contact. Never Nic, at least not in private, but the rules were different around the other wolves. Riley had always understood the need for hierarchy among the members. In the pack’s eyes, she was as low as one could be. In his, she was his equal.
“Shift and tell me why you decided to drag your sorry ass to my house. None of these cuts need my attention.”
Excerpt (R)
“Do you like what you see?”
Riley’s husky voice drew him back from the edge. Tension drained from his limbs. He yanked her panties off, tossing them across the room. “Yeah, baby, I do. I like it a lot.”
Using his thumbs, he swiped the length of her lips from bottom to top, spreading her folds and searing the memory of her perfect sex into his mind. Pink and glistening, she looked damn inviting. He knew every inch of her body, inside and out. He’d memorized her every trigger point and learned how far he could push her before pleasure turned to pain, but the sight of her, wet and welcoming, always left him in awe.
“Fucking beautiful.” His mouth watered. The small taste he’d gotten from licking his fingers hadn’t been enough to satisfy his craving. He needed to lap up her spilled cream and drink of her release. The urge took over, one he couldn’t resist. He bent and licked her cleft. Her rich flavor hit him. He groaned.
So damn good.
He wanted to get drunk on her. More licks, more swipes, and she writhed for him. He laid a hand on her lower stomach and pushed, urging her to lie back and let him pleasure her. She followed his direction. No hesitation. He slid her bottom to the very edge of the counter and massaged her hips as he teased her lower lips with slow strokes of his tongue over her cleft.
More sweet cream flowed, an irresistible lure. He dipped the tip of his tongue into her opening, and her body gripped the small invasion. Overly sensitive from her last orgasm, every touch wound her higher. A few more thrusts, and she’d come for him. The trembling in her thighs told him how close she was to finding ecstasy.
Not yet. He hadn’t fulfilled his craving.
He withdrew his tongue and repeated the languid exploration of her sex, dipping into her hot center on each pass, but not lingering. And she writhed for him. Clutched at his forearms. Moaned his name.
Perfect. She’s perfect.
He dropped to his knees and draped her legs over his shoulders, spreading her wide. The arousal waiting for him to feast on coated her cleft. With his hands under her bottom, he tipped her hips, bringing her sex closer, and kissed her lower lips as deeply as he’d taken her mouth moments before.
“Oh God. More. Give me more. Feels so good.”
Her praise registered in his hazy mind. He might’ve smiled, but he couldn’t tear himself away from her sex. Her flavor drugged him. Her moans enflamed him. Nothing else mattered beyond his need to worship her body and make her wild.
Make her come. Hard. Exactly as she’d demanded.

Meet Cat - the heroine from Mist Revealed #paranormal #mythology #sale

Whenever I work on a book, I outline the plot and create a fact sheet for my characters. It helps me get to know their drivers and issues. Today, I'm sharing a character profile for Cat, the heroine of my latest release, Mist Revealed.

Meet the heroine of Mist Revealed—Cat

Cat is a twenty-nine year old human. She’s a scientist who lives and breathes her research. Nothing else in her life holds her interest for long, including men. She doesn’t have time for them, not when there are answers to be found, and the lure of knowledge pushes her to hyper focus on work to the point where eating and sleeping become optional. She knows it’s a problem, but can’t help it. She comes from a long line of obsessive scientists.

In fact, her great-grandmother was a brilliant biologist whose research advanced science during World War II. Only, she made many of her discoveries while pushing the envelope of ethical behavior. Cat can’t help feeling as though she lives under the woman’s shadow. She also worries that she too will one day be tempted to utilize less than reputable avenues to get the data she desperately wants. Fortunately, she’s always had a voice of reason in her sister Janice. That all changes, however, when she succumbs to an unknown, deadly virus.

Cat is left with a mystery, one that has no reasonable explanation. For a woman who needs facts to explain her world, she’s left floundering. A trip to Greenland to collect valuable data doesn’t offer her the answers she seeks, at least not in the way she can rationalize with hard facts.

Myths, mysteries and emotions she’s never had to deal with surround her in the misty and cold land. Her reasonable, orderly world is thrown off kilter and the only thing she can rely on is a man who somehow accomplishes the impossible—he changes her focus from science to love. She’s just not so sure she can accept it…without facts to explain why she feels the way she does.

Excerpt (PG)

“The cursed ones have returned!” A wrinkly woman with cataracts wobbled forward on the arm of the teenage boy Rune had seen at the hotel.

Francis jumped to his feet, a lithe move for a male of his advanced years. “Irene, hush now, before you frighten Miss Saunders.”

The creases by Irene’s eyes deepened. “Frighten? Well, she should be. You all should be.” Her steady, accusing gaze skimmed the crowd before settling on Francis. “I told you they’d awoken. You did not believe. Now, do you believe? We are doomed!”

Rune squinted to bring her blurry image into focus. The effort it took to keep the dying male’s mind quiet sucked precious energy from him. “What are you talking about, woman?”

The crowd’s cries turned to whispers as if they too waited on her answer.

She clicked her tongue. “They call it global warming.” Her nose wrinkled. “It’s not. I’ve tried to tell them.” She waved a gnarled hand at the crowd. “Ragnarok is coming.”

Gasps and curses drifted from the bystanders. A few people blessed themselves and hurried away. Others shook their heads.

Rune swallowed hard. “What makes you think that?”

The woman yanked the boy’s arm. He led her closer. “My father passed on the stories of the bringers of Doomsday. Eldjötnar, he called them. Fire-wielding blood drinkers who would kill the old gods once and for all so they could shape the new world. I didn’t believe him, not until the staff washed up on shore.”

Rune sucked in a breath, a response he couldn’t stop.

The older female chuckled. “You know of the old gods then too? Their hoarded treasure has been found.”

His heart raced. “Where? Where is it?”

More cackling laughter. “Gone. All gone.”

Excerpt (R)

A cold gust of wind swept into the room. She glanced over her shoulder. The sight that met her stopped her heart. Rune stood just inside the doorway, mist swirling around his feet. She looked from the odd fog to his face. The light from the nearby lamp left half of it in shadows. It didn’t dim his expression, however.

Hungry. Intense. Primal.

He focused his blue-gray eyes on her. She couldn’t have looked away if she wanted to.

“Catherine? You there? Your image cut out. All I hear is wind wailing.”

Wind? What wind?

Rune glanced from her to the computer. The lights flickered. A pop sounded. She gasped and swung her head to peer at her computer. Only a black screen showed. The lights wavered again, then went out.

The sound of a door slamming tore a squeak from her throat. Her heart raced. She hated the dark.
“Rune?”

No answer.

The window cast a small sliver of light across the room, not enough to see much but it calmed her frantic pulse.

“The power went out.” She stated the obvious, but she had to say something. The silence threatened to stir her anxiety.

He didn’t respond.

A shiver raced down her spine. The cold air Rune had let in chilled her. She rubbed at her arms to warm them. It didn’t help. Her teeth chattered. “Do you have a generator? It’s going to get pretty uncomfortable in here soon.”

Hands caught her hips from behind. A hard body pressed along her back. And the scent of a crisp autumn day filled her lungs. She relaxed into him. Rune hooked his arms around her waist. She tugged them tighter. The warmth he gave off felt heavenly compared to the icy air fogging her breath.
“Who was the male you were talking to?”

“Sam. He’s—”

“Is he your lover?”

Not seeing any reason to lie, she answered. “Sometimes. We’re not serious.”

He buried his face in the crook of her neck. For a long moment, he only breathed slowly. Each exhale heated her body.

“You won’t touch him again.” He pressed his lips to her ear. “I won’t share you.”

The stark possessiveness in his voice and words should’ve made her see red. It didn’t. Confusion over why he’d care surfaced instead.

“Share me? What are you talking about?”

“Your body, Cat.” He kissed her, right below her ear. Another shiver raced down her spine. Desire fueled it. She was no longer cold. “And your heart, your life, your future. They’re mine.”

Oh. Dear. God.

Arousal flowed with his low gravely declaration. Every inch of her body tingled, eager for his touch.
Hello? Modern woman here. The alpha male attitude should not push me into a state of instant desire. It did, though. She didn’t want to consider what that said about her.

“Don’t I get a say in this?”

He clamped his mouth over her neck and nibbled. His teeth scraped her, and a groaned sigh escaped him. He eased back so only his lips brushed her skin.

“Oh yes. You get the final say. I will never take anything from you that you don’t willingly give.” He covered her lower belly with his spread fingers, then inched them higher. At her waistband, he popped the button, tugged the zipper and shoved her jeans down. “And you offered to feed me.”

 A little about Nancy…

A true romantic at heart, Nancy Corrigan is convinced there’s a knight in shining armor for every woman (or man), but you won’t find damsels in distress in her stories. She adores pairing alpha heroes with women strong enough to match them and bring them to their knees. She also enjoys flipping the traditional roles in romances because her motto is—love and people should never be forced to conform to anyone’s norm.
She holds a degree in chemistry and has worked in research but now focuses on ensuring quality. She considers it the perfect outlet for her as she’s the first to admit she has some OCD tendencies. It carries over into her writing life too. While engrossed in a novel, she has a habit of forgetting to eat and sleep. Fortunately, she’s married to her own knight in shining armor who understands her oddities and loves her anyway. They reside in Pennsylvania with their three children, dog, snake and guinea pigs.

Read a teaser…
